Bollywood actress Chitrangda Singh recently opened up about why she’s been missing from the big screen despite her talent.
At the launch of her upcoming film Housefull 5, the actress was asked about her limited filmography. She responded candidly, saying that while offers did come her way, they were often the same type of roles — seductive characters that didn’t challenge her as an actor. “It’s not like I don’t get offered work, but it’s the seductress or whatever… the same thing coming back,” she said.
Chitrangda, known for her performance in Desi Boyz and web shows like Netflix’s Khakee: The Bihar Chapter, explained that it’s not just about quantity but the quality of work she seeks, including the kind of people she wants to collaborate with.
In a lighter moment during the event, when a paparazzi compared her look to her iconic song “Allah Maaf Kare,” she cleverly plugged her new song from Housefull 5, saying, “Allah Maaf? Ab Laal Pari yaad aana chahiye!”
With Housefull 5 being hyped as India’s most expensive comedy film, Chitrangda seems ready to redefine her Bollywood journey on her own terms.
